Best Camping Gear Reviews recently was approached by the makers of the WondaWedge and asked if we would take a look at it. Never hearing about the WondaWedge before and not knowing if it was camping gear, we agreed to try the WondaWedge out for a while. We also had to do some research on what the WondaWedge is.
Before Best Camping Gear Reviews tells you our opinion on the WondaWedge, let’s talk a little about it. In short, the WondaWedge is an inflatable pillow with an attached mat to it. It is very lightweight and has many uses according to the manufacturer. It is made out of flocked PVC which is soft on one side.
When Best Camping Gear Reviews got the product we inflated the pillow and instantly we saw the greatness of the WondaWedge. It is actually a cool product that can be used for a ton of things, just like the manufacture said! During our trial period we did not go camping but we tested it on the beach and in front of the television. We found two great uses for it; a backrest and a headrest. We were able to sit up straight very comfortable and have good back support and then on the occasions that we laid down the inflatable pillow was good head support. Best Camping Gear Reviews has to stay right off the get go that we are sorry for the delay in blogs. We have been so busy with some of our other niche sites that it has taken all of our time up. Holy cow has it been some time since I last blogged about camping gear! I'm really sorry. The camping gear site has taken off and I have been getting requests from some camping equipment manufacturers to turn it into an online camping gear store. Not to sure if I want to have set up an e-commerce site and deal with sales. Kinda just like freely writing about outdoor gear! Best Camping Flashlight- There are so many flashlights out there that claim to be the best flashlight, but which one truly is? Best Camping Gear Reviews has teamed up with our sister site, Police Equipment Reviews to try and answer that question. We brought our police equipment site into this blog because who uses flashlights more than police officers? They destroy their flashlights so if one can withstand the daily use by a police officer, then it can sure hold up as camping gear!
Streamlight flashlights are one of the best police flashlights. They make some really cool rechargeable and LED flashlights that come in a variety of sizes. With regards to camping, it would be a good idea to get a Streamlight flashlight similar to the Streamlight UltraStinger. This is a great flashlight that has a super bright light. The only downfall to this flashlight is that it can only last for about 2 hours of continuous run time.
With that in mind, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to pick up either a MagLite flashlight or Coleman flashlight as a backup. These are very cheap flashlights that operate with batteries. While their light power might not be as good as a Streamlight flashlight, you have the insurance of a battery operated flashlight. If it runs out simply put in new batteries.
As we said before, there are many flashlights that will work well as part of your camping gear. Just remember that you pay for what you get. So if you find a dirt cheap rechargeable flashlight it probably won’t be that good.
